We use the phrase in its plain sense: a company whose work is implementing, customising and supporting ERPNext. That covers more than installation. A partner should map your processes before touching configuration, migrate data without losing history, write custom Frappe code that survives version upgrades, host or advise on hosting, train every role, and carry the system under an annual maintenance contract afterwards.
It also means being honest about fit. ERPNext is a strong choice for most Indian SMEs and mid-size companies, but a partner should tell you when a requirement is better met by configuration than by code, and when a process should change instead of the software.

Indian compliance built into every implementation
The India Compliance app is part of our standard scope. It produces GST invoices, generates e-invoices with IRN and QR code, creates e-way bills, prepares GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data, deducts and reports TDS, and gives HSN summaries. Multiple GSTINs across states sit under one company, so a distributor with depots in three states files from one database.
On the people side, Frappe HR handles payroll with provident fund, ESI and professional tax, which varies by state and is configured accordingly. Biometric devices such as eSSL and ZKTeco feed attendance directly, so payroll runs from actual punches rather than a register.

Hosting, data ownership and upgrades
ERPNext is open source under GPLv3, so there is no per-user licence and no vendor lock-in on the software. We host on cloud servers located in India or install on your own hardware, and in both cases the database and the custom code belong to you. Custom work is built as separate Frappe apps rather than edits to the core, so version upgrades remain practical instead of becoming a rewrite.
Timelines and what a project costs
A trading or service company is typically live in four to eight weeks, remotely. A manufacturer with bills of material, routings and job cards takes eight to fourteen weeks. Implementation for an SME typically starts within a few lakh rupees; we issue a fixed-price quote after discovery, with hosting and AMC shown separately so you can compare with per-user licensed alternatives over five years.
